McCarthy, Kennicott and the Wrangell StElias National Park. If you ever plan a trip to Alaska, I can only recommend a stop at this Lodge, while visiting McCarthy and a visit in Kennicott. |

Kennicott River Lodge and Hostel. Our very good friend, Brad Grossweiler, made his dream come true here. I was fortunately enough to come help him build this Lodge, and in this way introduced to the area. I can only confirm, that the saying "Alaska, the last Frontier" really comes true in this corner of the world. While visiting Sue in Alaska, I spend several weeks exploring the area, hiking long lost trails, and always looking over my shoulder for the numerous bears in the area. |
