This is our attempt to build a home-page, that will show a little about our life and interests, but also what we do for a living.

Our names are (obviously) Susan & Lars Iversen.

Sue is American, and I am Danish. We met at Sondrestrom Air Base (also known as "Sondy"), Greenland, when it was a USAF base, primarily to supply the DEW-line on Greenland.

Sue worked for The Polar Ice Coring Office (PICO),
and I worked at the Danish Liaison Office (DLO)

Since we met, our jobs have brought us to miscellaneous places around the world.

First Grade Teacher in Fort Yukon, Alaska
Kindergarten Teacher in Velbastadur, Faeroe Islands
Dispatch supervisor for State Forestry in Fairbanks, Alaska
Administrator at Lockheed Martin, Detachment-3, Thule Air Base, Greenland
Quality Manager at Harris Corporation, Detachment-3, Thule Air Base, Greenland
Chief of support at Harris Corporation, Detachment-3, Thule Air Base, Greenland

I have been in the Royal Danish Navy since 1981.

During that time I have done service on Inspection vessels around the Faeroe Islands and Greenland.
Later the service brought me to Sondy, where I worked at the Danish Liaison Office (and met Sue).
After three years in Sondy, the base closed and I had to move on.
This time my job brought me to The Faeroe Islands, where Sue joined me permanently. We got married in our home on 22 October 1994.
After 4 years at the Faeroe Islands, we both felt like moving on, and always talked about trying out Thule Air Base.

Well, here we are!!

Soon we will be able to share some pictures from our adventures, we hope.
